Weekly Yoga classes
Dynamic Yoga Flow Classes
Every Tuesday 11:30-12:45 at Under Livet/ Yoga Livet, Oslo
This class is a mixture of Vinyasa flow and Slings Myofascial Yoga to create stability and movement within your Myofascial system. It is not your typical Vinyasa class, so leave your expectations at home. This class is best for people who have done some yoga, but you by no means need to be an advanced Yogi. There will be emphasis on proper positioning to protect your body from injury and modifications for anyone working through injury recovery. The flow is moderate, with adequate warm up and cool down time, and enough movement to feel like you've worked out your muscles.
Slings Myofascial Yoga works with training the different movement qualities of fascia: Tensile Strength, Muscle Collaboration, Force Transmission, Adaptability, Mulitdimensionality, Fluidity, Glide, Elasticity, Plasticity, Tone Regulation, and Kinaesthesia. Vinyasa yoga focuses on breath with movement with classic Vinyasa Yoga Asanas. Together, they make up a dynamic yoga flow class that encourages flexibility and stability while maintaining awareness of proper breathing techniques with movement.
Classes will be built in 10 week courses, at NOK 2650 for a 10 class card. Drop-ins are welcome at NOK 280 per class. MUST register 1 hour prior to class.

She brings her experience in Neuromuscular Therapy into the session to help re-program your muscles and nerves if there seems to be a disconnect, or need for Neuromuscular reprogramming. vinyasa, Mediyoga & Slings Yoga -
What's the difference?
vinyasa yogaErin completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification with Atman Yoga school in Oslo, and is registered with Yoga Alliance International as a Certified Instructor.
Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. Commonly referred to as “flow” yoga, it is sometimes confused with “power yoga“. Vinyasa classes offer a variety of postures and no two classes are ever alike. The opposite would be “fixed forms” such as Bikram Yoga, which features the same 26 postures in every class, or Ashtanga which has the same sequence every time. The variable nature of Vinyasa Yoga helps to develop a more balanced body as well as prevent repetitive motion injuries that can happen if you are always doing the same thing every day. As a philosophy, Vinyasa recognizes the temporary nature of things. We enter into a posture, are there for a while and then leave. Characteristics of Vinyasa Flow Yoga

mediyogaErin completed her Yoga Teacher Certification with MediYoga, earning her a level 1 Certification as a MediYoga Instructor.
MediYoga is a medical and therapeutic yoga method based on clinical practice and research. MediYoga can be done lying down, while seated, slowly, actively, briefly or for a long period, depending on which program is chosen. MediYoga is essentially suitable for everyone who wants to feel better, whatever their situation at the start. If you can breathe, you can do MediYoga. MediYoga is yoga according to a recipe with five different ingredients: breathing, physical exercise, hand positions, focus and mantra. MediYoga began in 1998 in Sweden, and has since been integrated into clinical treatment programs in over 350 hospitals and treatment facilities throughout Scandinavia. An important component of MediYoga is the research on its medical benefits, especially to patients recovering from heart related disorders. Slings Myofascial Yoga
Slings Myofascial Yoga, or Slings Yoga, was created by Tom Myers (creator of Anatomy Trains) and Karin Gurtner, a body and movement specialist.
Slings Myofascial Training is a contemporary, fascia-focussed, body-minded movement method. This integral mat-based training can be enhanced and adapted with massage balls or other small, supportive props.
The focus lies on the health-enhancing qualities of fascia, which contribute to the balance of your posture, movement efficiency, and vitality. The contrasting movement sequences contain dynamic and rhythmical, as well as soft and melting exercises in all body positions.
This method is based on new findings in fascia research and movement science. Furthermore, Slings implies the Anatomy Trains concept, which portrays the body-wide interconnectedness of muscles and fascia in myo-fascial slings (“Slings” for short).
In the long run Slings activates the body's self-healing powers, optimizes resilience, promotes balanced myofascial tone, even force transmission and movement ease, as well as refining system communication within the body and signal perception.
The Slings Myofascial Training focuses on the health promoting qualities of the myofascial system that positively influence our postural balance and movement efficiency (in daily life, recreational activities and at work).
